Located on the 2nd floor of AMU PLAZA, which is beside JR Nagasaki Station. We still need to walk outside JR Nagasaki Station, and took escalator (or elevator inside AMU PLAZA, you're welcome) to 2nd floor. 5th floor of the hotel connected to restaurant floor of AMU PLAZA, very convenient. Mostly restaurant at AMU PLAZA closed at 8 PM, another choice to have late dinner at JR Nagasaki Station which closed at 10 PM (We tried BABAKE Ramen, and it was delicious).

The hotel is conveniently located just outside the AMU Plaza of Nagasaki. It is also near the bus stops, tram station and the train station. It is extremely convenient to get around. That made it really easy to get to. It was also near the entrance for the supermarket so you can easily pick up food if you did not order breakfast like I did. The staff were friendly and checking in was a breeze without any fuss. I appreciated that the amenities for the trip and the view from the lift. Coin laundry was available and there was a vending machine if you need snacks or drinks.

JR Kyushu Hotel Nagasaki was honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan. From start to finish, everything about our stay was smooth, comfortable, and convenient. The value for money was especially impressive — we stayed for three nights, and not only was the price very reasonable, but the room size was more spacious than what I’ve come to expect in many Japanese city hotels. It felt like we had a bit of breathing room, which made the whole stay more relaxing. The location is another huge plus. The hotel is basically right next to Nagasaki Station — just steps away — and directly connected to a mall with plenty of shops, restaurants, and a supermarket. That made meals, shopping, and even picking up essentials incredibly easy. Plus, the hotel is also connected to the main bus terminal and taxi stand, so getting around the city or heading out to other parts of Kyushu was super convenient. Whether we were off to explore historical sites or just popping out for a quick dinner, everything felt close and accessible. The staff were also fantastic — very polite, professional, and helpful. They assisted us with local information and made check-in and check-out quick and easy. All in all, this hotel hit the sweet spot for comfort, price, location, and service. If you’re heading to Nagasaki, I’d definitely recommend JR Kyushu Hotel — it’s hard to beat for the convenience and overall experience.

The room was pretty spacious compared to most hotel rooms in Japan, which was a pleasant surprise. I also appreciated the thoughtful touch of providing extra pillows for guests. The staff were friendly and always greeted us warmly, which made us feel very welcome. Location wise it’s excellent. The hotel is connected to a shopping mall and very close to the train station. Just a note, most ramen stalls nearby tend to close between 830PM to 930PM, so finding food late can be tricky. Thankfully, convenience stores are nearby and a reliable option. There’s an expressway bus station right across the brown building to Nagasaki Airport. Very convenient (¥1200, payable by cash or IC card).

Located next to the electric tram (150 yen = $1.04 per ride), adjacent to the Nagasaki bus and train station, and a huge mall with many restaurant options, JR is very convenient. Lots of hot water, a short/deep bath with shower, and efficient housekeeping which you can opt out of, as needed. There is a 24-hour "7-11" shop for early coffee and late snacks nearby. Also Starbucks! The staff was attentive. The bus from the airport drops you nearby.

Our family spent a quick overnight trip from Hiroshima to Nagasaki just to check out the area. The hotel is just steps away from the train lines with convenient access to the local transit system. The property is situated between two malls with numerous shopping and eating options. Nagasaki is a hidden gem with its mix of old-world charm and modern amenities. For those who are interested in architecture this region is full of classic structures, especially homes and churches. The centralized location is a perfect spot to see many of the famous sites. The staff is very friendly and the rooms were clean.

Can’t beat the location. Level 5 of the building has numerous restaurants. Next to the train station, trams outside the building and the bus station, if you need to go to the airport is under the Mitsubishi building across the road. The trams can get you to a lot of tourist sites. Room was typical of Japanese city hotels, small, but had everything you needed. Breakfast was good (at a restaurant on the 5th floor) and the staff wonderful. Reception is on the second floor, at the top of the escalator located under the big white canopy in front of the building.

The hotel location was excellent for us as we had just arrived by train from Hiroshima. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the station. Buses and trams stop right out the front, and the airport bus is just across the road. The hotel is on top of a shopping and food court. The room was large, comfortable, and clean. The breakfast at 2000 yen was the best value breakfast on our entire trip.
